Problem indicators would be:

  • The therapist is distracted and does not give you their full attention
  • The therapist reveals too much information about themselves and you wonder if the therapy is for them instead of you.
  • The therapist is regularly late
  • The therapist does not answer your questions
  • The therapist is not direct with you
  • The therapist seems critical of you
  • The therapist reveals the identity of other clients
  • If your roles seem to get reversed and you find that you give comfort to your therapist.
  • If your therapist invites you to join a business such as a multi-level marketing organization
