1. Identify your challenge.

How long your problem has been present in your life
The complexity of your problem
The level of distress your problem creates

The greater the level of your concern on these parameters the more likely your therapist will need higher levels of specialized training and experience.

Local Phone book
Friend and relatives
Professionals that you know that may have some knowledge about

4. Assess your needs: start to consider the skills, training, experience etc, you wish your therapist to possess.
